naranja canela, here in diptych format, is an archival inkjet print project.
In this presentation, each half is 17" x 42," framed.
The image depicts an elaborate sewn still life. Multiple photo images were stitched digitally and the panoramic photo's ends were manipulated so that the image (approximately 6 feet) can repeat seamlessly. After being mounted on archival board, the top and bottom edges were trimmed, following the image's edge.
River-like, a blue satin ribbon edged in black and white twists across a broad horizontal swathe of fiery hunter's orange...
